Privacy & Cookie Policy

This policy explains what information Bello Duo collects through this website, how we use it, and the cookies and analytics we rely on. Last updated 13 June 2026.

Who we are

This website is operated by Bello Duo (Conor Taggart and Victoria McClements), a singing duo based in Northern Ireland. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, email belloduovoices@gmail.com.

Information we collect

  • When you make an enquiry through our contact or booking form: your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), and the details you share such as event type, date, location, budget and your message.
  • When you join our mailing list: your email address.
  • Automatically, only if you accept cookies: usage information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site (referral or campaign source), and general device, browser and approximate location data.

Cookies and tracking

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Until you accept, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and our advertising tools are not loaded. You can change your mind at any time (see "Your choices" below).

  • Strictly necessary: a small record of your cookie choice (stored in your browser) and the technical cookies needed to host and secure the site (Google Firebase Hosting).
  • Analytics (with consent): Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, to understand traffic and improve the site.
  • Advertising (with consent): the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, so we can measure and, where relevant, reach people who have shown interest in our work.

Simple visit counting (no cookies, no consent needed). Separately from the above, we keep a basic tally of how many times each page was viewed and how many people tapped a streaming link such as Spotify or Apple Music. This runs whether or not you accept cookies, because it does not store anything on your device and does not record anything about you: no name, no cookie, no ID, no IP address, no device details, and no time more precise than the calendar date. All we keep is a daily count, so there is no way for us to tell one visitor from another, or to link a page view to a person. We use it only to see which songs and pages people are interested in.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange bookings.
  • To send you our newsletter, if you have subscribed.
  • To measure how the site is used and improve it.
  • With your consent, to measure and tailor advertising.

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We rely on your consent for analytics, advertising cookies and newsletter sign-ups, and on our legitimate interests (and taking steps at your request before any agreement) to respond to booking enquiries.

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell your data. We use trusted providers to run the site and these tools: Google (Firebase Hosting, Analytics, Tag Manager), Meta Platforms (the Pixel) and EmailJS (which forwards enquiry notifications to us). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK and EEA under appropriate safeguards.

Data retention

We keep enquiry and subscriber details only as long as needed to deal with your request or while you remain subscribed, and analytics data for the period set in our analytics tools. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Your choices and your rights

  • Cookies: decline non-essential cookies on the banner, or change your choice at any time here:
  • You can also use browser controls, the Google Analytics opt-out and your Meta ad preferences.
  • Your rights: you may ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to processing, or withdraw consent. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised date.
