From a tray of cutlery to centre stage
Bello Duo are Conor Taggart and Victoria McClements, a husband-and-wife classical-crossover duo from Northern Ireland.
It began with two voices and a tray of cutlery, Conor and Victoria met singing together at weddings as singing waiters, and in late 2019 their friendship became a love story. When the world locked down in 2020, they isolated together and started arranging the songs they loved into duets of their own.
Every Thursday night they stepped onto their street to serenade their neighbours and thank the frontline workers, and people listened. Within weeks, some of those videos had been watched over 150,000 times, and Bello Duo was born.
Since then they've released albums, reached No.1 in South Africa and No.4 in the UK iTunes vocal charts, performed on ITV, BBC One, UTV, RTÉ and Virgin Media One, reached the final of 'The Big Deal' and earned four 'yes' votes on Britain's Got Talent, taking the best-loved musical-theatre classics, operas and anthems and transforming them into beautiful duets with stunning harmonies.
